Research Proposal must include the following formatting:1. The assignment typically turns out to be about 13-15 pages. But it must be at least 8 pages long. Page count does not include the Title Page or your References Cited.2. It must be double-spaced and typed.3. It must use 11 or 12 point font of a mainstream font, such as Times New Roman, Arial, or Calibri.4. It must include a title page with centered text that follows the example here (again, the title page is not included in the word count)5. It must include page numbers.
Your final Research Proposal must include the following Sections [in bold], as well as the following subsections [in italics] to be considered for full credit:a. Introduction/Literature ReviewIntroduction: which should at least include a clear statement of your proposed research question, your hypothesis if you have one, and some detailed background on your research topic or question;Scholarly Context of the Research Question or Literature Review: which should include a summary of at least three themes in how scholars have talked about or pursued your research topic/question already (with proper summaries and in-text citations of entries from your Annotated Bibliography); andContributions of the Proposed Research to the Literature: which should outline at least two contributions that you think your proposed research study makes to the scholarshipPlease note that the professor is aware that many of you chose different ways to draft your Introduction/Literature Review earlier this semester, so the three subsection titles above will be graded on an individual basis, but the things listed above are what the professor is primarily looking for in this section.b. Methods/Research DesignVariablesDataSubjects and Sampling Instruments and Procedures Least HarmValidity and ConfoundsPlease include all of the information asked for in the Draft Methods/Research Design Section Assignment for each of the four subsections above. References Cited [1-2 pages]This section must include full citations, alphabetized by authors’ last names, and using correct APA style [as always, please refer to your APA Style Guide or the APA website link provided on Blackboard].
