*On-line: Alicia Garza, A Herstory of #BlackLivesMatter, Feminist Wire, October 7, 2014, https://thefeministwire.com/2014/10/blacklivesmatter-2/.
Discussion Questions
What have been the most significant changes in womens lives over the last (approximately) forty years? What are the reasons for these changes? Do you think there are ways that womens lives have remained, for the most part, consistent over this time period? Why or why not?
In your answer, draw from Through Womens Eyes, AND AT LEAST ONE of the primary documents in Documents: Gender Equality and the Law (WA, pp. 741-758). I also encourage you to draw from Gender and the Military in TWE. You may also draw from Garza, A Herstory.
Discussion Forum Criteria
A passing grade on discussion forum exercises is dependent on meeting the following criteria:
1. Follow communication and netiquette guidelines (see orientation and basic information folder).
2. Support claims with specific examples/evidence. Draw from all applicable assigned readings.
3. Provide proper documentation for examples/evidence.
4. Reply to other students (at least one other student for a passing grade and more than two students for an above average grade).
5. Enhance quality of discussion (offer new perspectives, ask questions that further discussion).
