Responses to Domestic Violence Crisis Calls
It is about 2:45 on a weekday afternoon. You receive a phone
call from a woman who explains that her husband is abusive to her. She also
notes that he is not at home, which is why she is making the call now. She
further states that she is not sure what he would do if he knew she was talking
to someone about the violence. After about 10 minutes on the phone, she becomes
erratic and excited, stating that her husband has come home and she cannot talk
any longer. She hangs up the phone.
