The removal and effect of racist statues in the United states

Research paper Intro
Throughout United States history, the prevalence of racist monuments and statues in our communities has been looked past far too often. With the issues of the present day, with police brutality and social injustice, taking significant steps towards removing these monuments is vital to our nation’s growth. In this paper there will be evidence to prove the sociological effect it has on our communities and what the government, along with political figures are doing to fix this issue. With the worldwide effects of covid 19, it gave our government time to think about the affects these monuments have on our citizens, and begin the erection of these monuments. In historical cities such as, Baltimore, New Orleans, and many others we see it’s history tarnished by the bigotry of the past. In 2021, the beginning of the end has come for these monuments.
